I took my Ford F-250(four wheel drive) in for repairs. First I was told it was the trans axle that was the problem!

Then it went from the trans axle to the transmission was the problem! Then the B/S BEGAN. It took over Six Weeks for these Clowns to finally get it right & repair the transmission so that I could drive it home.

They had to keep pulling the transmission in & out at least four Times because they kept forgetting to put the Right parts in it to make it work properly.I was charged $1700.00 for work that should of being done in less than one week! So my advice IS, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR REPAIRS TO YOUR TRANSMISSION!

Monetary Loss: $850.

We received this vehicle from a USED CAR LOT Dealer and was asked to check out this vehicle for their customer. Their original diagnosis was a transfer case issue.

After receiving the vehicle, we performed our free diagnostic service and the original findings indicated that it had a transfer case issue (transfer case was binding). We were authorized by the dealership to replace the transfer case (and ONLY the transfer case), which they had us order from the manufacturer (takes time to get here - not an in town manufacturer and NOT an overnight delivery from them either) and it came with a 3 year warranty on the transfer case from the distributor. After the transfer case was installed, the used car lot dealer's customer wanted a transmission fluid changed. Per his instructions, the pan was dropped and chunks of metal were discovered in the bottom of the pan.

Changing the fluid would have further damaged the transmission and we advised against this so he went back to the used car dealership, they called us back and we worked out a deal with THEM to apply the payment of the transfer case towards the cost of the repair of the transmission at WHOLESALE COST. Now we're into 2nd week with his vehicle as the 1st week was waiting on the transfer case. We were authorized to begin work on the transmission on the 2nd week; parts were ordered and some of the parts were wrong as the distributor sent the wrong parts (it happens) - parts were sent back and new parts were resent (again, out of state distribution - not an overnight delivery service!) and we began work on the transmission late in 2nd week. It takes approximately 16.

1 labor hours to remove, disassemble and repair and then replace a transmission in an F250 Super Duty (which is approximately 2.75 business days). After installation and final inspection (a road test and computer test), it did not pass due to a defective valve body. A new valve body was ordered, replaced and reinstalled and then another inspection was performed - which it now passed. We apologize that the vehicle took only 3 weeks (NOT 6 - come look at the records if you doubt!!!) to be repaired CORRECTLY but we did not want the vehicle leaving the shop with shoddy workmanship.

ALONG with the 3 year warranty on the transfer case, we also gave him a 12 month, 12000 mile warranty on the transmission; and he received all of this at WHOLESALE COST which means he was NOT charged any sales tax as normal customers are AND he was not charged any labor at $85 per hour which would be an additional $1368.50 on his bill. NOT ONLY THAT but this used car lot truck had more issues than transmission repairs (had either a spark misfire fault; a fuel related problem; and an engine performance problem) and we referred him on to another facility that handles engine performance problems. We cannot help that this WHINER bought a lemon - we can only help in repairing and helping him get it fixed and fixed properly. He has not returned with any issues which means that it was fixed correctly in the first place.

So, in summation, the truck was ONLY HERE for 2.5 or 3 weeks; he received dealership costs although he was not the dealer; he received a 3yr warranty AND a 12 month warranty, a new transfer case and a rebuilt transmission and he's COMPLAINING? I think he needs a couple of lessons in humility and good swift kick ...
